Lyme disease is a complex, multi-system illness that can affect the immune system, nervous system, joints, cardiovascular system, and cellular energy production. While some individuals recover with early treatment, others experience persistent or relapsing symptoms that require a more comprehensive and individualized strategy.
Our practice provides advanced, personalized care for patients with:
- Early and late-stage Lyme disease
- Persistent or chronic Lyme symptoms
- Tick-borne co-infections (such as Anaplasma, Bartonella and Babesia)
- Lyme complicated by mold exposure, EBV, Long COVID, autoimmune conditions, or connective tissue disorders
A Strategic, Whole-Body Approach
Lyme disease is not solely an infection—it is a systemic stressor that disrupts immune regulation, mitochondrial function, detoxification pathways, and neurologic balance.
For this reason, our treatment model is comprehensive and carefully layered. Each plan is thoughtfully designed and may include:
Targeted Oral Antimicrobial Therapy
When appropriate, we utilize customized combination oral antibiotic protocols. Regimens are selected based on symptom patterns, clinical history, co-infections, and patient tolerance. We do not offer IV antibiotic therapy in our office.
Botanical & Integrative Protocols
We incorporate evidence-informed herbal approaches, including modified Cowden and Buhner-style protocols. These may be used alongside prescriptions or as standalone strategies depending on the individual.
Detoxification & Liver Support
Effective treatment requires supporting the body’s natural detoxification pathways. We address liver function, glutathione production, toxin clearance, and inflammatory load to enhance resilience and treatment tolerance.
Mitochondrial & Energy Restoration
Persistent fatigue is often driven by impaired cellular energy production. We implement targeted mitochondrial support to improve stamina, cognitive clarity, and overall vitality.
Gut & Microbiome Optimization
Antibiotics and chronic inflammation can disrupt gut integrity. We proactively support microbiome balance and gastrointestinal health throughout treatment.
Peptide Therapy
In select cases, peptide therapy may be incorporated to support immune modulation, tissue repair, and recovery from chronic inflammatory stress.
Transparency & Collaboration
To ensure clarity, our office does not provide:
- IV antibiotic therapy
- Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
- SOT therapy
We are happy to collaborate with outside specialists when appropriate.
What to Expect
Recovery timelines vary based on duration of illness, co-infections, immune resilience, and overall physiologic burden. Early Lyme may resolve within weeks. More complex or long-standing cases often require several months or longer of structured care (more than 1 year). Our goal is not merely symptom management, but restoration—supporting the return of energy, cognitive function, physical resilience, and long-term immune balance.
Personalized, High-Touch Care
Every treatment plan is developed through collaborative discussion. We carefully weigh therapeutic options and tailor each strategy to the individual’s goals, medical history, and tolerance.
Lyme recovery is a process. We provide thoughtful, comprehensive guidance at every stage to help patients move forward with clarity and confidence.
