Ashley Walker, MPAS, PA-C, IFMCP
Ashley Walker, MPAS, PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Assistant specializing in Functional Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia and then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. She is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine and certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants.
She was first introduced to the field of functional medicine by Dr. Elizabeth Board. Upon her first day of working alongside Dr. Board and experiencing this new approach to practicing medicine, she knew she had found what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She trained under the supervision of Dr. Board and Dr. Curtis for one year in 2014, then went on to pursue her own certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Ashley specializes in helping patients overcome issues with gut health, auto-immunity, depression and anxiety, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders and so much more. She connects the dots and empowers patients to bring healing into their own life through a highly individualized approach.
As a certified yoga teacher, Ashley also incorporates the element of mind-body-spirit healing into her practice using mindfulness and breath work. The practice of yoga has been incredibly transformative in her personal life and she loves sharing these principles to further optimize wellness and bring about healing.
