Overall Wellness, Healing with Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is the new era of medicine. Old school physicians use more symptom-based treatments. With our practice, we use more preventative measures for current and future illnesses/diseases. We have many patients that come in for an overall wellness assessment to see where their levels are and to see how to improve them to live a long, healthy life. With our current environment and toxin exposure, it is difficult to be as healthy as possible. Eating the right foods and consistently exercising are both very important strategies for optimal health, however our body needs hundreds of different vitamins, minerals, and amino acids for ideal health benefits.

The testing we offer at AFM is very comprehensive and very extensive. We look at hundreds of markers in your body to see your current levels and reassess within a certain time frame to compare and to see what has gotten better/worse. We supplement your deficiencies and detoxify your of your surpluses. Instead of guessing what it is your body needs, we actually give you exactly what your body needs based off of your history, symptoms, and labs. We will put you on a very specific plan filled with lifestyle changes and supplement regimen. The physician will give the patient a big list of recommendations to follow with supplements and information on how to take it, when to take it, and what it is going to be targeting.

We have a huge supplement store in the office filled with hundreds of supplements. We have so many supplements because we have so many different patients with different needs for their bodies. You can expect the most personalized care along with a very knowledgeable and “practice what we preach” staff to help with your questions. We like to serve ourselves well in order to serve our patients well.

Your labs will look at dozens of different cardiovascular health risk markers, thyroid, hormones, micronutrient deficiencies, diabetes panels, inflammation markers, autoimmune markers, heavy metals, toxin exposure, bacterial infections, stool markers, parasites, yeast, food sensitivities, adrenals, and so much more! We also have a huge array of testing offered in order to better personally help each patient as an individual. Check out our Types of Testing Offered page!
