InBody An Overview

InBody Machine: An Advanced BIA Composition Analysis

What is an InBody Machine?
The InBody machine is a new game changing technology that uses thebioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) method to provide a comprehensive view of body composition balance. In addition to providing your weight, body mass index, and basal metabolic rate, the machine also analyzes fat and muscle distribution to your right and left arms individually, your right and left legs individually, and your trunk (abdomen/lower back) area. From these measurements, you can determine how much fat you need to lose, how much muscle you need to gain, and what body parts you should focus the most on.

Visceral fat is also measured with this machine. Visceral fat is the most important and the most dangerous type of fat stored in our body. It is the most inflammatory, and high levels can lead to conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and Alzheimer’s. Visceral fat is the extra fat that is stored around your organs, which leads to the stubborn fat that is hard to get rid of.

InBody What to Expect

There are several different applications of the InBody machine, with the main one being nutrition. When trying to lose wight, or just become overall healthier, it’s hard to know exactly what the number on the scale means. As you start to lose weight, it’s important to track the fat you are losing, while avoiding muscle loss.

This is one example of the InBody report
It can give you information on how much weight you need to lose/how much muscle you need to gain to reach optimal levels. It also screens for important markers such as visceral fat, skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, and intracellular/extracellular water.

Single InBody report: $40

Prepay for 3 InBody reports (recommended to repeat 6 weeks from starting diet or lifestyle change to see difference): $100

Detailed Interpretation from staff member: Additional $25 (See Below)

A staff member will provide you with a detailed explanation of this report. From the BMR, BMI, and activity rate, we can calculate your daily calorie intake, as well as how many servings of each food group to consume. A recommendation on what foods to eat and what foods to avoid will be included as well. You will also be provided with techniques to decrease fat and increase muscle mass to your extremities. If your visceral fat is too high, you will be advised on how this level can be decreased.
