Meet Stacy Cartmell FNP-C

Stacy Cartmell, FNP-C

Stacy Cartmell,  FNP-C is a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner who has chosen to specialize in Functional Medicine after 25 years in the acute intensive care setting. Her background includes  working in a busy internal medicine practice in San Diego, California where she is from, as well as many large hospital settings in intensive care. Her time spent here in Georgia being a Cardiac Nurse Practitioner left her wanting to do more for her patients on multiple levels, treating the entire patient and allowing more time to get to know those she cares for in practice. She is certified in both California and Georgia with annual educational courses to allow her to utilize the newest evidence-based approach to meet patient needs.

She attended graduate school at Point Loma Nazarene University in SanDiego and then earned her Masters in Science at  both Vanderbilt University and Azusa Pacific University with honors. She is now completing her Functional Medicine Certificate at the Institute for Functional Medicine to be completed by the end of this year.

Stacy is passionate about creating a relationship with her patients built on trust and collaboration. Her desire is to partner with her patients, helping them optimize wellness, and feel empowered in the process. Her goal is that they feel heard, hopeful, and supported.

As a mother of 3 herself, she also understands the demands on women who are working and/or caring for a family and the challenges that come with “juggling it all”. Whether it’s stress management, cardiac health, hormones, gut health, healthy weight support, sleep disturbances, aging, autoimmunity and so much more, she will work hard to find the best plan to meet your needs and priorities in whatever season you are in.

Stacy loves spending time camping/hiking with her family. She is blessed to have a life that she loves on her hobby farm with several adorable animals. She loves anything outside including her large garden she tends to with her daughter and her mini highland cows. She has 3 children,  homeschools her oldest, and also is passionate about Essential Oils and natural health alternatives which she applies to her own family as well.
