I started working at Atlanta Functional Medicine as Dr. Board’s medical scribe. I then moved to the administrative side of the practice, and eventually got promoted to the Office Manager. My unique experience in watching patients get better by simple dietary and lifestyle changes is what sparked my passion in coaching patients.
I have lost over 80 pounds by changing my lifestyle and eating habits. I did this by realizing why I was eating the way I was eating. I am passionate about finding the root cause of people’s eating behaviors. In our session, we do not only talk about food, as food is not the only factor attributed to health. We dive deep into sleep habits, daily movement, relationships, trauma, toxins, mental health, and physical pain. Each person is unique, which is why there is no one same plan for any client of mine. We set goals and I help hold you accountable to these goals.
I believe each individual has strengths and weaknesses in them, so I help you use your strengths for positive change. Our current world works against us in maintaining these changes in a healthy lifestyle. I specialize in shifting your mindset by teaching you about the history of food, what gluten is and why out bodies cannot tolerate it, GMO’s, how we get addicted to food, why sugar is worse than an illegal drug, and much more. Personal Life: I love cooking different recipes and learning about spices/techniques from around the world. I am an Outer Space nerd and go star gazing monthly! My hobbies include doing makeup, looking up recipes, walking my German Shepherd, decorating my house (my husband’s least favorite hobby of mine), nature trails, and traveling.
